This documentation consists of many hours of filmed interviews with several of the remaining back-to-the-landers throughout the province. Some of this fascinating material appears in the videos and the slide show described here. I hope to develop more documentary projects from this collection as well as archiving these filmed interviews for posterity.

30-minute Documentary
They came with little more than their guitars and their dreams to homestead in one of the most remote parts of Nova Scotia.
That was more than 50 years ago, and that’s when I took the black and white photo of them. They were living in this tent year ‘round when I first met them.
Their story is full of twists and turns, highs and lows, just like the Meat Cove road they live on.
